Yup, it’s true. I think I have a fish n chips hangover! A friend of mine from high school and I went out to Steveston yesterday for a walk and lunch and to enjoy some sun. Steveston is a historic kind of fishing village area here on the coast and so there is nothing better to have for lunch while there than fish n chips!
I’d been looking forward to this all week and ate a ton of salad in preparation for my fish n chip indulgence. And oh, it was soooo worth it. I even ordered the large size. Yum-o. The fries were golden, the tartar sauce was tangy and the halibut was juicy and the batter perfect. Yum.
But, I think I’m having a bit of a hangover today. I didn’t even eat dinner last night!
Aside from my fish overload, yesterday was kind of cool in other ways. About a year ago or more, I got word that something cool might happen. I didn’t really wanna say what it was in case it didn’t happen. So the year went by and nothing really happened. Well, yesterday I was contacted by this particular person and it looks like it’s going to happen again. I’m still not going to say what it is, until I have confirmation, but it’s pretty cool. And, it has everything to do with running, so that’s even better. Stay tuned, I should know very shortly.
And lastly, tomorrow is the long awaited (well for the past week anyways) doctor’s appointment. Being as impatient as I am with exciting stuff, I’ve been trying not to think too much about it as there is always the chance the technician couldn’t determine the gender. But, I’m going to hope that wasn’t the case and hopefully by about this time tomorrow I’ll have a better idea of who that is in my tummy. He/she has gotten totally crazy lately – kicking up a storm! Best I can tell, he/she is picking up on my P90X moves and trying them out in the womb! Ha ha.
