A Day Late, A Dollar Short

Posted Sep 16 2009 12:00am

I started to post this last night, but then a husband and a little one pulled me away from the computer. Here’s a recap of yesterday’s eats:

Untitled-1

(missing are a banana with pb as a pre-workout snack and 3 squares of a Ritter Dark Chocolate/Marzipan candy bar for dessert after dinner)

All of that was about 1500 calories. Can you believe that? It seems like a lot, but I guess it was a lot of food.

I was able to sneak away from work and do a very brisk 30 minute walk with some nice hills yesterday at around lunch time. It felt so great! It was beautiful out yesterday. More important – no shin pain! Yes, I even get it when I walk. I also went for a 9 mile bike ride before picking up C from my mom’s house. That was wonderful, too! I really, really, really love riding my bike. It’s sooooo freeing!

Overall, it was a great day! I did pretty much everything I set out to do, and I burned 550 calories. I am seriously hoping to see a loss on the scale this week. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the scale move down. Even with eating properly (for the most part) and exercising, the scale has been going up, up, up! I know, I know, body may be producing muscle, muscle weighs more than fat, blah, blah. I don’t care. I just want the scale to go down a teeny bit!

Nothing too strenuous on the menu for today: a walk, a bike ride, a doctor’s appt, some laundry, some work. The usual :)

I seriously need to get my grocery budget under control! I went and spent another $20 last night because it seemed like we had nothing in the house. I’m not even sure what’s for supper tonight! I overspent on the groceries by about $50 this week. Crazy!!!
