9 pretty workout looks for Spring! {look good & sweat}

Posted Feb 18 2011 8:30am

The Queen City enjoyed temps near 70 degrees yesterday and the warm sun rays just poured through the french doors in my bedroom. It was wonderful.

I’m still not getting around very well {my abdominal area feels like I participated in a sit up marathon} so most of my days are being spent working from bed. Even though I’m cooped up, the sunshine & warmth breezing in were wonderful!

I glanced at my calendar and realized that it was only the third week of March last year when my sister, niece & myself enjoyed the pool for the first time of the season. Is spring really that close already?! How exciting!

My workouts are always dragging a bit by this time of year. I get burnt out from keeping my activities indoors so much. Running outside in the cold doesn’t bother me, but that’s about all I can stand. I miss yoga in the parks, leisurely evening walks, hiking and enjoying the outdoors without my teeth chattering.

In anticipation of spring, I decided that doing some retail therapy would lift my spirits and get me ready to jump in to outdoor exercise just as soon as my doctor gives me the go ahead. I was thrilled with some of the pieces I found for spring and thought I’d share some of my favorites. Here’s what I ended up with:

My first stop was none other than my online love, Lululemon.

Info on the No Limit Tank from Lululemon:

Because layering is my favorite thing to do, I had to pick up a new hoodie for spring. And this one is pretty brilliant.

Info from the website:

Don’t be a prude just ’cause I have pretty undies on my blog! Those runners & yogis out there no what I’m talking about… a good pair of undies can truly make a difference in your workout. I love these!

I love the pretty blue & white polka dot band on these.

Mandie Knicker | $60 | Find these on here

The Skinny

The Mandie Knicker is made for rest, beach, and mindful-days. French terry is heathered and shaped into an easy slip-on style with cargo pockets and drawstrings at the waist and hem.

These are a more “credit card” friendly compromise to some of the amazing cute lululemon shorts that I adore. I thought that I’d at least give them a try… but doubt anything will ever replace my lulu’s!

Vata Short | $39 | Find these here on

If you’re still working out in an old tee, this is your exercise intervention. Our LUNAR workout top brings simple beauty with a rounded V neckline, a cutout back and a cute side tie at the bottom. Nylon and resilient spandex play nice together, and flatlock stitching adds shapely curves.

Are your workouts getting a little blah? Feel like you really have to talk yourself in to heading to the gym? Pick up a few new, cute, spring-inspired pieces like these and I promise you, you’ll want to go workout just so that you have a reason to wear them. :)
