8 of My Faves from Whole Foods!

Posted Oct 08 2012 10:10pm

Whole Foods is pretty much Heaven on earth to me.

I love walking through the doors knowing that I can find good, wholesome produce and products there that will promote health. I love the ambiance and floors. I even love the little mini green carts!!

A couple of weeks ago I posted a rant about some Whole Foods products that do not promote health.  Well, today I will show you some of my most favorite things to buy at Whole Foods that are not junk!

Guacamole

I usually only get this little guy when it’s on sale, which is rare, but happens. It is so deliciously creamy and tasty!! Love it with veggies and Rosemary Crackers.  Right now since Hatch Peppers are in season they call it Hatchamole!

Unsweetened Shredded Coconut

I use this to make my own coconut butter!!

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

This giant jar will last me forever and for $5.49 it’s totally a steal!!

Bacon

Guilty pleasure (especially at $8.99/lb!) and only purchased when on sale. This stuff is amazing!! I love the maple and applewood. Yummy!

Frozen Butternut Squash

I really do not enjoy peeling, cutting and gutting butternut squash. It’s too complicated (ok, I am too lazy). This little guy is around all year and usually a pretty good price for not having to do all that “hard work”.

Thai Curry Powder

I love this little section of bulk spices! So perfect! This Thai Curry Powder is my new favorite! I use it on chicken and in soups (like my Curry Carrot Soup ).

Almond Meal

This is the cheapest I have fun unblanched almond flour. It’s $8.99/lb at New Seasons- ouch! I use this in pretty much all of my baked goods since I can’t stand the texture of coconut flour.

Lara Bars

When I need a treat, this is where I go. Lara Bars are definitely not an every day item, but a good treat for hikes or road trips. I love the variety that Whole Foods offers!!

What are some of your favorite Whole Foods Finds??
