After my long run on Saturday I pretty much didn’t do anything else. Sunday I had plans on going to yoga, but I got an email that threw me for a loop, so I decided to just lay-low with my pup and sick hubby. Then Monday rolled around, I started off the day with coffee and strawberry/banana overnight oats ( just like the list called for !) and headed to work.
After work I wanted to go to my Monday night yoga class, but I had to stay later than usual and ended up missing it. I wasn’t too sad about it though, I was pretty tired.
When I got home I cooked up a dinner of teriyaki pork chops, roasted broccoli and a brown rice quinoa blend.
They had samples of the brown rice/quinoa mix out at Costco and I got suckered into buying it. It’s actually pretty good and cooks in 90 seconds. Win, win!
This morning I woke up and headed out for my usual Tuesday hilly 4 mile run. Ohmygosh, it was not an easy run today!My legs felt like lead! About 2 miles in I really wanted to walk, but I kept pushing until mile 3.4 and I HAD to stop and stretch. My hips were tiiiight and my lungs were burning. Once I stretched for about 30 seconds I felt better and finished up the 4 miles.
When I got home I had initially intended on stretching and foam rolling and then heading to a noon bodypump class. I stretched, I foam rolled then I talked myself in and out of going to bodypump class about 10 times. In the end I did end up going and I’m glad I did (gotta up that strength training ). Now I’m off to do laundry and try and de-dog hair the entire house. Although all I really want to do is take a snooze. I also have to find something to eat, I’m staaaarved! I ate a banana + pb before my run, a Larabar on my way to the gym and an apple when I got home. I need to make a real meal for myself stat! Maybe I should go check my list and see what I planned to make .
