How I’m Feeling: I’ve been so unbelievably fortunate throughout my entire pregnancy as far as pain, fatigue, and discomfort (especially for someone who has lupus). I can still workout lightly and can even stay awake past 11 pm.
With that being said, I must admit that I am pretty uncomfortable these days. It’s a challenge to put on pants (don’t even get me started on socks) without practically toppling over, and I’ve also developed a pretty sexy waddle.
At this stage of the game, it isn’t a shocker that I’d feel this way. After all, it is just part of the process, and I can certainly handle it for a few more weeks (or possibly days).
Noticeable Changes Recently: My belly has dropped a good bit- though it still looks like I’m trying to hide a basketball under my shirt. My rib burn is still present but not as horrible as it was a week or so ago, and my back aches pretty much all day and night. I’ve also been feeling pretty nauseous after I eat. Other than all of that, I haven’t noticed anything unusual.
Current Cravings: Oddly enough, I haven’t really had any cravings in awhile- at least not any major ones. I’ve been very thirsty though, and I am still eating eggs like crazy.
Food Aversions: There isn’t a specific food that turns my stomach at the moment. As I already mentioned, I’m just queasy in general. Some foods will settle just fine and some are questionable. It’s just trial and error at this point.
Accomplishments This Week: Michael set up the pack ‘n play and assembled the stroller. I’m also driving around with the car seat in my car, and last night, we went to Babies ‘R Us and bought the rest of the items on our registry. I guess we’re about as ready as we can be at this point!
Things I Miss: I still miss wine like crazy. The Peach Stand sells some kind of strawberry wine- which I’ve never had in my life- and it tempts me every time that I see it. I told Michael that I want to pop open a bottle of that stuff in the hospital (after the baby is born, of course). I also miss being able to see my feet and wearing my normal clothes.
So, that’s the story at the moment. When the time does come for me to deliver, I obviously won’t be blogging. I’m hoping to post a couple of updates on Facebook and Twitter though, so if you want to stay in the loop, be sure to follow me there.
