Yesterday morning, I felt a little different when I woke up.
As soon as I caught a glimpse of myself in the bathroom mirror, I knew why I felt so different.
My bump had doubled overnight!
Unfortunately, it didn’t really translate well through the first photo, but I swear, it really and truly did. In the second photo, you can tell a lot more (and it was actually taken just a few minutes ago).
Maybe I overdid it on the salt the night before, or maybe the baby went through some massive growth spurt. Either way, my bump was bigger.
As I ran some errands yesterday, I knew that the growth wasn’t just in my head. Strangers (mainly women) kept shooting sweet smiles my way after glancing at my stomach.
Prior to yesterday, strangers would look at me as if they were trying to determine whether I had just eaten a big lunch or drank a 6-pack of beer.
Anyway, here’s the 20 week bump shot.
I cannot believe I am already at the half-way mark in my pregnancy!
Michael wasn’t home for dinner last night, so I decided to make some tilapia. I typically prepare fish when he isn’t home because I like it much more than he does. He can pretty much take it or leave it (but I am pretty certain he prefers to leave it).
While dinner was cooking, UPS dropped a package off to my house from Baby Gap.
It was a surprise gift for the baby (obviously) from my wonderful friend Kristen!
Kristen lives in New York and was a bridesmaid in my wedding. I’ve also named her an honorary aunt to the baby.
I absolutely love the little bear face on the booty! Kristen said that’s what also sold her on it.
There’s nothing like a little bear face on a baby booty.
Thanks, Aunt Kristen!
After I gushed over the sweet little outfit, my delicious dinner was ready. I really enjoyed this meal because even though it was very light, it had lots of flavor.
Prep time: Approximately 5 minutes
Cook time: 20-30 minutes
2 teaspoons Earth Balance butter 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice sprinkling of fresh parsley (optional) salt & pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Melt the butter in a microwave safe dish. Once melted, mix the butter with the lemon juice and garlic. Season both sides of the tilapia with salt and pepper before coating with the butter mixture (I added the mixture to both sides). Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fish. My filets were very thin, so they cooked in 20 minutes. Thicker fish may take about 30 minutes.
Is there a particular food that you try to make when your significant other is eating with you? When was the last time that you received a surprise in the mail? Hopefully, it was something more exciting than a bill!
Love the bear on the booty and yours will have a cute rump as I stated earlier – ha! The bump is growing – how exciting. We have been getting well wishes in the mail lately due to it being our 8th Wedding Anniversary today – feeling the love for sure. I just have been trying to sit down with my other half at the table some nights instead of eating in the living room – yes we are those people:) Have a Great Day!
You are beaming! That 2nd pic is so great! How exciting. My honey always wants meat in his dinner and I try to stick with my vegan eating, so it’s so hard to please both our appetites. I just recieved a surprise in the mail from a fellow blogger with lots of raw/vegan treats inside…it felt like Christmas!
