15 weeks: the big reveal

Posted Apr 09 2013 7:00am

Okay people, show a little restraint and do not scroll down. :) I want to know how many of you can actually do that!

15 weeks

Weight Gained: No idea, but I don’t think anything yet. I have an appointment on Thursday, so I’ll definitely be voicing my concerns to my doctor at this point. I feel like I should have gained something by now! And when I do gain some weight, I’d like for a few pounds to be in my butt. Have you ever actually heard anyone say that one before? ;)

Symptoms: I feel really really good. Ahhh, I love being able to say that. My face has been breaking out a little bit, and I have some back pain. Honestly, I can’t complain. I don’t want to jinx myself, but these past few weeks have been a walk in the park.

Movement: None yet, but I’m already analyzing every single thing that goes on in my abdomen. I can’t wait to feel them!

Food Cravings and Aversions: I don’t have many aversions right now – maybe burrito bowls (I don’t get it) and definitely still onions and garlic. As far as cravings go, I want to eat everything. Seriously. This past week I have been wanting mayo like crazy (?), and I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to not eat meat. Everything sounds and smells so stinking good.

Sleep: Pretty good except for one night over the weekend. It was a day that I drank some iced tea, so I think the caffeine got to me. I try not to drink it too often these days.

Stretch Marks? None.

Miss Anything? Sleeping on my stomach. I especially sleep on my stomach when it starts to get warmer out (I sprawl out like a starfish – my poor husband), and I know this summer is going to be torturous!

Looking forward to: sharing with you all what these two little ones are!

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or moody most of the time? Pretty happy – I can’t think of any emotional outbreaks this past week which means I did pretty well.

New Baby Items: A few sleepers and blankets from a co-worker who excitedly went out and bought a few items for us after she found out what we are having. They are too cute.

Exercise: I got in a lot of walks this past week which was good. Oh, and apparently cleaning my house is now a full body workout. After scrubbing it down over the weekend, I woke up Sunday morning sore. Seriously.

The Big Reveal

Have I made you wait long enough?

I am happy to say that when we went for our ultrasound on Saturday, it was an amazing experience. The babies were cooperative, and we quickly learned the sexes of our little ones.

I suppose mother’s intuition is a real thing because I am ecstatic to announce that we are having two sweet baby girls!

I am so glad we decided to find out the sexes because it has helped me to visualize our babies and who they will be. Over the last few days, I have been picturing our family of four (+ Charlie) with two little ladies running around. It is just surreal to me that in a few short months they will be here with us.

Everyone better start saying prayers for my husband. I know he’ll be wrapped around their little fingers, but man oh man, the estrogen that will be surging in this house will be overwhelming at times. ;) Not to mention on my side of the family, we will have FIVE girls within two years of each other, and on the Husband’s side of the family, we will also have FIVE girls within one year of each other. I am so glad they will already have built in family friendships. I can’t wait to watch all of them grow up together.

I’m going to try my best to resist buying adorable little outfits, but I doubt I’ll be able to stop myself. I don’t even know how to wrap up this post because I could go on forever – so I’ll just end it here!
