100 Things I Have Learned Since Becoming a Healthy Lifestyle Blogger

Well I hit the 100 post mark....with my last post. Ha! I missed the opportunity slightly, but I can make a quick recovery. Since starting this blog back in January I have grown and learned so much.


What have I learned....well here you go in no particular order. 

  1. Half marathons are not easy but worth it. 
  2. It's hard being 100% honest with people, but once something is off the chest life is easier. 
  3. Scales are not needed to feel like you've accomplished something. 
  4. Brownies and ice cream do not solve problems. 
  5. God is always faithful. 
  6. Students make excellent life cheerleaders. 
  7. Spaghetti squash makes limited gluten living pretty delectable. 
  8. Love is not just a four letter word, it's a choice towards yourself and other people. 
  9. Blogging world friends are just as great as real friends. 
  10. Going off of number 9, support is everything. 
  11. Foregoing a pedicure for more fresh produce is worth it. 
  12. Just because something works for someone else, doesn't mean it will work for you. 
  13. My body is my body, not to ever be like some body else's. God is way too creative for that. 
  14. Larabars and almond milk are surprising good. 
  15. My knees can handle running. 
  16. Push yourself. 
  17. Take breaks. 
  18. Drink more water, less coffee. 
  19. Smoothies are a blank canvas for fun creations. 
  20. Food is for sustenance and fuel. 
  21. I am not defined by a number either on a scale, pant, or tape measurement. 
  22. Water bottles should be the newest fashion accessory.
  23. Live outside your comfort zone. 
  24. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
  25. Jealousy never gets you any where. 
  26. Food is not the enemy, I am. 
  27. Stretching helps .... a lot. 
  28. Sleep is golden. 
  29. Cherish friends. 
  30. Believe. 
  31. Diet will never cross my lips again.
  32. No food should be off limit as long as you are conscious of why you are eating it. 
  33. The world's happy weight is not God's happy weight for me. 
  34. Pinterest is addicting (just saying...) 
  35. Try something new, you never know you might like it. 
  36. One should measure success against themselves, not others achievements. 
  37. I can't keep ice cream in the house..it's devoured to quickly lol. 
  38. Asics dominate over Nikes for me. 
  39. Don't use dogs as weight loss bait, it just depresses you. 
  40. Just because your thin doesn't mean you get the man. 
  41. Laugh often. 
  42. Meal planning is essential. 
  43. You can eat healthy on a budget. 
  44. Mini chocolate chips are great. 
  45. There is no reason to go this journey alone. 
  46. Organic is really worth it. 
  47. Processed foods aren't worth it. 
  48. Small plates > large plates.
  49. Foodgawker is just as addicting as Pinterest. 
  50. Treadmill's are so bad when they're in a cardio theater. 
  51. Weight lifting won't bulk you up.
  52. Create numerous playlists to prevent music boredom. 
  53. Interval running doesn't mean you fail at running. 
  54. Peas and corn make great ice bags. 
  55. Indulge when needed. 
  56. Intuitive eating is not an excuse for pigging out. 
  57. Spinach in smoothies is remarkably great. 
  58. Kettlebells work all parts of your body. 
  59. Blogging isn't about page hits, it's about personal growth. 
  60. It's okay not to blog everyday. 
  61. I wish yoga pants could be work wear. 
  62. I have major ADD when working out. 
  63. I'm learning to adore my curve and show them off (modestly of course)
  64. Pray. A lot. 
  65. Follow your heart. 
  66. Life is about balance. 
  67. Dancing while cleaning burns more calories ;) 
  68. There's nearly a healthier version of every meal ever made out there. 
  69. Sometimes you just need Chipotle. 
  70. Kohl's makes great workout wear. 
  71. The right sports bra may define your run. 
  72. Get fitted for running shoes. 
  73. Black toe nails rarely grow back pretty.
  74. Medals are something you hang, not hide. 
  75. Even the healthiest people have cheat days. 
  76. Protein keeps you satisfied longer. 
  77. You can do "man" push ups. 
  78. Healthy living foes beyond just eating fruits and vegetables. 
  79. I can eat vegetables without them being smothered in cheese. 
  80. Focus on the now. 
  81. Stress less. 
  82. Photos tell the reality. 
  83. Nothing feels as good as a loss pair of jeans. 
  84. Your the example to many. 
  85. Don't judge others. 
  86. Cheer others on. 
  87. Mirrors aren't the only reflection of who you are. 
  88. One blizzard won't turn you obese...an everyday addiction will. 
  89. Make friends with your body. 
  90. Expand your culinary horizons...you may surprise yourself.
  91. The Bible says more on eating than you might think. 
  92. Food shouldn't chain you. 
  93. The only label food should have is a nutritional label...not bad or good.
  94. Homemade rocks. 
  95. The person you think doesn't have body issues...most likely does. 
  96. If you focus too much on the outside, you neglect the inside. 
  97. Ninja kitchen pro is awesome. 
  98. Sometimes you hear a song and instantly think running song. 
  99. Just do it. 
  100. God will bring you through it when you fully rely on His power and grace to help you overcome whatever challenge(s) lay ahead.
