You: The Owner's Manual

Posted by C.L. R.

There is a great book with a really long title - it's something like "You: The Owner's Manual and Guide to Overall Health and Wellness" or something. It was quite a fascinating book but daunting, as it was over 500 pages long. I got up to about 350, but intend to crack through the rest at some point. It gave some very interesting information regarding basic health information that we are assumed to know but don't really know - ie. did you know that the heart doesn't really pump, it actually wrings itself like a dish cloth? And that pumping sound we here is the sound of the valves closing? So fascinating. The book also had information on healthy diets and what you can do to keep your body younger. So get in there and do yourself some reading. Just use proper lighting so you don't strain your eyes. There's a chapter on eyes in there - you don't want to let it down.
