Don’t forget to check out my fun end of summer giveaway . I’m still accepting entries through 11:59 pm on Thursday for a fun gift pack.
Could it be? Am I actually developing a sweet tooth. I’m not sure what’s gotten into me, but I think it has something to do with the Whopper Blondies I made earlier this month. They rekindled my love affair with a candy from my childhood that I didn’t even realize I missed.
Since then I’ve been day dreaming about incorporating them into something else. Originally Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies came to mind, but they seemed a little too expected. And then it dawned on me – Whopper Lover’s Crispy Treats. Inspired by the fantastic Cake Batter Crispy Treats made by the fabulous Jessica of How Sweet it is , I added some malt powder right into the butter-marshmallow mixture along with some crushed whoppers.
The result is a lovely malted version of the original. If you’re as much of a fan of Whoppers as I am (or even if you’re not, but the idea of chocolate and malt powder sounds appealing to you) I think you’ll enjoy these. It’s also worth bookmarking to make use of extra candy once Halloween has come and gone.
