White Peppermint Smash

Posted Dec 24 2012 6:16am

Merry Christmas Eve!

I hope your day is filled with family, friends and laughter. I’m soaking up my last full day with my family in Georgia {we fly out tomorrow to Texas to visit with Adam’s family} and I’m loving every second of it. I decided to teach myself how to knit this holiday, and I’m working on a little white scarf as my first project. I’ve also been reading a ton of books, got my ears pierced {yes, I’m 10 years old} and acted as number one taste tester for mom’s amazing Christmas cookies. It’s been such a relaxing couple days and I’m looking forward to heading to Texas for the next week to visit with more family and friends!

Adam has turned into quite the mixologist lately and this minty cocktail is one of our favorites! It’s minty and creamy…almost like a peppermint White Russian.

I’ll admit, my favorite part of this drink is the shaved dark chocolate on top. Any cocktail topped with chocolate is a winner in my book!

And don’t forget the candy cane! Other ingredients include vodka, creme de cacao, cream and peppermint schnapps.

Hope you guys love this! Have an amazing Christmas. Our plan for today involves hot yoga, making rosettes {deep fried powered sugar topped cookies…kind of like funnel cake but in cookie form}, church then exchanging gifts. I’m so thankful for you guys!
