For most people there first thought as take their seat is how long until the flight attendant brings round the gin and tonics. This is especially true if you are on an international flight and the booze is free. However, flying sucks out all the water in your system causing extreme dehydration, as does alcohol. Not a good mix. You need double the amount of water that you normally require when flying. That means drinking 4 litres of plain water in a 24 hour period. And I am sorry to give the bad news, but alcohol should be avoided completely, or at least kept to a minimum.
I know I will be bringing my Borba vitamin packets on a trip I am taking last month. The one thing I really worry about is I will be staying with some real frat boy/Peter Pan types... who claim they are allergic to veggies and fruits! They are all well over 6 feet and are lanky. I CANNOT eat the way they do and stay healthy, skin clear and fit into my clothes. I am looking for ways to combat the madness!
