Yes, time is often a barrier to our own wellness, however it is NOT impossible to overcome the obstacle of limited time. As a Certified Nutritionist I see this all the time and have experienced in my own life as well....we are all busy! However, I have a no fail plan for limited time.
As for diet the best way to lose weight and "heal" your metabolism is to follow a glycemically balanced diet with ideally proportioned clean lean protein (@ 4oz), leafy greens and low starch veggies (2 cups) and healthy fats (1Tb hemp oil, olive oil, flax seed oil, coconut oil. This will keep blood sugar regulated, prevent you from losing muscle and satiate you:) Granted everyone is unique, you may require a few modifications. However this is a rough and VERY generalized idea of to eat for healing your metaboism.
As for exercising the most powerful way to lose weight is to do what is called "burst training". This type of exercise is designed to actually raise your resting metabolic rate at rest! This will raise your Growth Hormone, reduce your Cortisol (your stress hormones) decrease your Grehlin (your hunger hormone) and increase you Leptin (your satiety "I'm full" hormone).

If you want to lose weight purely by changing your diet and don't have time for exercise, then you have to take some major steps.
1. Eliminate most meats and dairy, as well as products that are high in sodium or sugar.
2. Detox your liver (all day long) with herbal health drinks that promote a more efficient absorption and metabolic rate. Boosting metabolism allows the body to process fats and cholesterol more effectively, which creates natural weight loss.
3. Eat fewer calories. This sounds simple, but it is the hardest part. You have to cut cravings and learn how to satisfy the body with
whole foods that provide more nutrition in fewer calories.
