Try making overnight steel-cut oats! The method:
The night beforebring six cups of water to a boil and stir in 1.5 cups oatmeal.
Let boil for one minuteturn off the heatand cover.
The next morningturn the heat back onbring to a boiland then lower the heat to a simmer for around 10 minutes. Sometimesit only takes 7-8 minutesso just watch it the first few times. The oatmeal will be creamy but still have that delicious chewy texture.
Congrats! You just made steel-cut oats in 10 or fewer minutes!
That recipe makes about six servings of oatswhich can be refrigerated for a week (so you can make breakfast for a week in advance). If you want to make lessjust halve the recipe.
