What can you do when you want ice cream but have none?

Ice cream is one of my favourite once-in-a-while treat. And today I really wanted some, wanted it right now.
Unfortunately I had none on hand and I wasn’t going to make a trip to the store just for ice cream (I’m just stubborn).
So instead, I came up with alternatives to satisfy my craving.
My top choice: frozen banana ice cream. Always have frozen ripe banana chunks in your freezer so that you have ingredients for banana bread or this 1-ingredient frozen delight. Simply whip out your food processor or chopper and puree the chunks into a smooth pasty texture. Add in nut butter, vanilla extract or cinnamon to punch up the flavor.
If banana is unavailable, my second choice: emergency frozen yogurt squares. Scoop yogurt into ice cube trays, freeze and enjoy frozen yogurt cubes. This is suffice to serve as my emergency frozen yogurt fix.
If the above two options both dont work out, I turn to my last resort…frozen grapes. Place grapes single layered on a baking sheet and freeze. Frozen grapes turn extra sweet and it can be such a refreshing experience that satisfy my sweet tooth.
These are my ways of quenching cravings for certain treat foods that I enjoy but don’t always buy and keep around the house.
What are your ways to overcome a sudden calling for ice cream or a treat food that you find hard to resist?
