I guess the answer to this question depends on your definition of “good” fats. But let’s assume for now that a good fat is anything besides trans fat.
Now that we’ve eliminated all those processed foods that contain trans fat, what other higher-fat foods are there?
grass-fed/organic/vegetarian-fed/hormone-free meat. I recently tried handmade turkey and beef sticks from Whole Foods (they’re sort of a cross between cooked sausage and jerky).
eggs (hard-boiled eggs make a great portable snack!)
full-fat Greek yogurt. I love it with some berries!
nuts/nut butter. Peanut butter is good, but peanuts are technically legumes. I try to stick with almonds and almond butter. I recently bought a huge jar of tahini (sesame seed butter) and am loving it on everything!
raw, unprocessed cheese (but only if you’re not sensitive to lactose).
fish!
The only thing you have to watch out for are foods that are both high in fat and high in sugar — like many baked goods and junk food. That combo seems to be very addictive, in a bad way!
