I have heard that you should not eat meals that are both high in carbs and high in proteins. That in one day or meal you should have carbs and in another have proteins because in mixing carbs and proteins, it takes longer for your body to digest. Do you have any further information on that and what are good things to eat together?
There are as many varying opinions on food combining as there are people talking about it. The transit time from mouth to toilet depends on the health of the individual, how the food is prepared, and the quantity of the food. Rather than focusing on the right combinations, know that, generally speaking fats take the longest time then protein and then carbohydrates. The fats have to be emulsified (broken down with bile salts from the liver) in order to become more water soluble and absorbed by the cells. All that being said, it is best to eat foods that are closest to their natural state. Whole foods are already in perfect balance. Stay away from isolates, get your nutrition from whole foods, and eat plenty of good fiber. Eliminate processed foods. We don?t need to eat chemicals, we need good quality whole food. Monitor your bowel habits, if you eat right every day, you ought to eliminate every day.
