Watermelons are seasonal fruits appearing around summertime. Nature times herself well; she knows what is needed and when. Watermelons contain mainly water. They are best consumed in slices but sometimes it is a bore to eat fruit the same way all the time. I came across this recipe in a magazine I was leafing through and tried it out:
I sliced half a watermelon, blending enough to make two tall glasses of watermelon juice. I poured the juice into a wide-based flat dish and placed it in the freezer for a couple of hours till the bottom and sides froze a bit. I placed this in the blender once more and gave a twirl and replaced this in the flat dish and into the freezer to freeze for another couple of hours. I removed this and gave it a twirl once more in the blender before serving the slush. It was a cool change indeed!
