Wash Your Fruit

Posted by Mary Ann P.

Rinsing your fruits and veggies under the tap won?t remove the pesticides, fertilizer and dirt that is hiding in under the layer of wax on them. You should routinely use a fruit and vegetable wash, preferably before putting them in the fruit bowl for your family. The best time to do it is when you come home from the market. Many stores stock fruit and veggie washes in the produce department. I saw some at my local Wal-mart yesterday. If they don't have it available talk to the produce manager or you can order it on-line. Do you wash your fruit and veggies with a wash?
