Ward off Boredom: Intervals on Treadmill

Posted Jan 06 2012 8:43am

FRIDAY! This week was such a short week! I was a day off all day (thought it was Wednesday when it was Thursday).

Yesterday was a day where I had so much to do and I just wasn’t feeling focused. I headed to the gym to find some clarity and got on the treadmill. I just WASN’T feeling it. I told myself that I should just try a couple of minutes and if I wasn’t into it I could get off. That little trick works for me 99% of the time.

I decided to do some intervals to ward off the boredom of that revolving machine. It ended up being a great workout and I kept myself occupied for the 40 minutes. I ended up walking a couple more than 40 minutes to make it an even 4 miles.  You could customize this workout to whatever speeds work for you. I didn’t want to go crazy the entire time so I kept the speed very manageable for me.  Make it faster or slower, whatever works for you.

I did a leg workout after, so I’m feeling extra jelly-like today.

I’m off to get some work done! Lots of Pure Bliss Eats things today, including sending out muffin of the month club orders!

Something to read: One of my most favorite bloggers & IRL people, Carla, writes thought provoking posts everyday. I think she had two of the best this week , “Soft of Core” and “ Skinny is Beautiful “. I highly recommend reading these posts (and her blog everyday). Plus she’s jacked and loves jerky.

Have an amazing day!
