Veggie Grill + The 30 Minute Vegan

Posted Jul 22 2012 11:57pm
Good Evening and Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend.  We have been enjoying our time with Grandma Evelyn and Grandpa Nick.  We spent the weekend exploring Portland, hitting a few of our favorite haunt, such as Powell's Bookstore , Sizzle Pie and Washington Park where Emmet skated the Switchbacks.

Last night, Evelyn treated us all to a fabulous Lebanese meal at Ya Hala .  Thank you!  We will definitely be going back to Ya Hala.  Yum.

I have been meaning to tell you about our visit to Veggie Grill for some time now and am excited because my whole family loves this place!

Veggie Grill  redefines classic American comfort food with flavorful and craveable 100% plant-based
soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and desserts.
As my husband says, this place is like Blossoming Lotus meets Burgerville.  Steve has been tinkering around with eating more plant-based protein sources and The Veggie Grill is perfect for when he is craving classic junk-food.  Seriously, my husband loves this place.

Steve's favorite is the Buffalo Bomber which is Crispy Chickin' tossed with spicy buffalo sauce, tomato,  red onion, lettuce, ranch dressing + avocado.

Our purpose at The Veggie Grill is to serve you delicious and wholesome food. By wholesome, we mean good calories and good fats that are 100% plant-based.

Mark Reinfeld is the founding chef of Blossoming Lotus, as well as:
Mark Reinfeld is the winner of Vegan.com’s Recipe of the Year Award for 2011 and has over 20 years experience preparing creative vegan and raw food cuisine. Mark was the Executive Chef for the North American Vegetarian’s Society 2012 Summerfest, one of the largest vegetarian conferences in the world. He is described by VegCooking.com as being “poised on the leading edge of contemporary vegan cooking”.
There are so many great recipes in the cookbook and I plan on making a few this week. I also have a bean in my bonnet that I would like to take one of Mark Reinfield's Vegan Cooking Immersion Classes.  Hmm.... I will have to save my pennies but I think it my be a nice addition to my toolbox of skills.  What do you think?  Food for Thought.
Off to watch the finale of The Next Food Network with Miss Zoe.
