Dinner last night turned out to be incredibly tasty! It was one of those "throw everything you can find in the fridge in a bowl" nights. I had some sprouted chickpeas hangin out, so I ground them up with some tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and hemp protein. It is pretty similar to hummus, but I left it more chunky (kind of like a ground meat consistency). I threw that on a salad with some spinach, romaine, raisins and a little more olive oil. So tasty!
After dinner, the BF and I ran tons of errands and took the puppers for a walk before heading to the gym. I biked over, did some nice relaxing cardio, then headed home. All in all, it was a perfect workout!
Immediately following my return, I dove ravenously into this dessert. This is a pear, some brown rice protein powder and a bit of frozen pineapple blended together with some raisins and chias thrown in. I am working towards just eating fruit alone to test out how food combining rules work for me, but I'm always too hungry...
I followed that up with some coconut almond butter (almond butter mixed with coconut oil). So fabulous!
I packed up some lunch for today and made my breakfast for tomorrow. Breakfast was unpictured brown rice protein chia pudding (same as yesterday) with strawberries instead of nana. My snacks for today include a tasty giant salad with spinach, romaine, bell pepps, chia seeds, sunflower seeds and some sesame dressing. I also have a tasty mexican squash with which to coat with my ground "hummus" I made last night!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I am still crazy sore from all my skiing this weekend, so my typical upper body workout didn't happen today. Instead I biked over for some lovely interval cardio and stretching. My recovery shake was tasty, but a bit bitter today (cherries don't mask the kale that well...)5 frozen cherries 2 handfuls spinach 1 leaf kale 1 packet orange ola loa 1/2 tbsp coco oil 1/2 tbsp flax oil 1.5 scoops brown rice protein powder Water
I also had some ezekiel + a.b. + blueberry fruit spread to keep me nice and full!
Speaking of all the skiing...here are some weekend pics for ya!
Tubing is awesome!
Typical "away from home bfast": mashed nana, brown rice protein powder, almond butter + mix ins. Here we have strawberries, nuts and dried fruit.
I ate tons of this Fruit is my savior when I'm unable to make like 10 salads a day.
