So if you've been scouting your local health store for the latest miracle products, you've doubtless heard of Acai, purple Brazilian berries that claim to hold more than four times the antioxidants found in blueberries. However, according to recent studies, those antioxidants are actually only responsible for about 10% of the fruit's overall antioxidant capacity (in other words, unknown compounds are responsible for Acai's power to fight free radicals) meaning mixed berries are probably a better bet.
