1) Take in more Vitamin C. Studies have revealed that people who consume less of the vitamin tend to be 25% more likely to suffer from gum disease.

2) Get lots of calcium per day. 99% of the calcium in your body is your bones and your teeth, and dietary calcium is needed to make sure they're in good shape.

3) When you drink beverages, use a straw, especially with acidic drinks. This limits the contact of corrosive acids with your teeth.

4) Drink green tea. The antioxidants in the tea keep plaque from sticking to your teeth.
