Tips for eating out smartly

Posted by Nancy B.

Increasingly, restaurants are offering health-conscious items to their menus, but there’s a lot an individual can do at any eatery to cut back on fat and ramp up the nutrition. I read a story online from Reader’s Digest which suggested 20 tips for eating smart when eating out. Some options I hadn’t previously considered were asking the waiter to double the vegetables in your entrée, eating two healthy appetizers instead of an entrée, and dipping your fork in salad dressing on the side instead of pouring the dressing on the salad. See all 20 tips.

That's a great tip... to double up on the vegetables. I would have never thought to ask, but very smart! Thank you.
