Thirsty? Check Out The Waters Out There

Posted Dec 18 2008 8:13pm

Interesting articles on iVillage.com about waters.

First off, I recommend checking out "10 Tricks for Getting Enough Water," which offers some valuable tips on how to remember to drink up--with water, of course.

Then, there's a piece about trendy, enhanced waters. The article, " More Than Hydration: Enhanced Waters: Experts weigh in on trendy health waters," is enough to make you want to start savoring different waters.

I'm certainly intrigued enough to want to find out if I detect a taste difference between the various brands such as Glaceau's Smartwater, Apollinaris (Germany), Spa (Belgium) and VOSS (Norway).

My only concern is that the story mentions flavored waters such as Fruit2O, which is sweetened with Splenda. You see, I'm just not a fan of artificially sweetened anything, especially water, because of potential harm that could result.

To learn more about the dangers of Splenda and other artificial sweeteners, you'll want to participate in my free, tele-seminar next Tuesday evening, February 28 with toxicologist/nutritionist Dr. Janet Starr Hull. The author of Splenda: Is It Safe?, Dr. Hull will give you the lowdown on how these fake sweeteners could affect you.
