Vitamin E: Needed for cell formation, oxygen utilization, muscle strength, healing of injured skin. Deficiency symptoms include varicose veins, anemia, phlebitis, stroke, heart attack, scleroderma, muscular dystrophy, blood clots, and nephritis. Amount needed daily: 140-210 units. Found in grains, nuts, and seeds.
