Did you know the average American consumes 2,000 calories at Thanksgiving dinner? [Gulp] You’d have to hit the gym hard for an entire week to undo the damage from just that one meal. Alternatively, you can prepare a delicious holiday feast that features all your favorite dishes but cuts out all the fat, calories and guilt.
Which is why we’ve put together The Pump’s Ultimate Turkey Day Toolkit (click to download the PDF) . From appetizer to dessert, we’ve got you covered. Chef Danny Lachs has prepared a healthful and flavorful menu for six that includes: a juicy herb-roasted turkey; a sweet potato side dish with quinoa; a sweet and savory whole-wheat bread stuffing with pomegranate, pear and mushroom; a tart cranberry dessert with hints of rich vanilla bean; and a cocktail featuring orchard-ripe apples.
If you stick to this menu or some variation of it, you’ll not only give thanks to your health, but you’ll also feel good about drinking, feasting and even skipping the gym on Friday. Happy Thanksgiving, friends. Gobble Gobble.
