It certainly worked for Jon; he lost 225 pounds in two-and-a-half years, going from 409 pounds to 184, without suffering, dieting, or anguishing over his body. I have read a lot of weight loss books. This is by far the best. It finally takes the guilt and shame out of being overweight. whatever overweight is to you. I have already been losing weight and I feel 100% better about myself. would recommend to anyone.

I will not recommend anyone to buy through Amazon. The shipping cost(Normal shipping) was twice the price of the book.

The sub-title reads ‘A Revolutionary DIET-FREE way to Totally Transform Your Body.’ Well, my body hasn’t been transformed yet and the interpretation that diet-free means eat whatever you want and how much you want whenever you want needs to be clarified. Jon Gabriel sensibly discusses good nutrition and the benefits of exercise. He further argues that good nutrition brings its own reward in the form of satiety and therefore allows a natural adjustment to the constant hungers that drive people to eat inappropriately. Gabriel elaborates on the different forms of hunger and suggests lifestyle changes that promote good health. Good health also leads to achieving a normal body weight which can be maintained permanently. Once we allow our bodies to want to be thin excess weight comes off. A glorious read that explains the protective role of excess weight and the benefits to the overeater of miantaining excess weight. After reading this book you can see yourself in a new light and turn off the FAT switch.

I think, with most people, the weight is just a symptom; an outward manifestation of something going on at an emotional, spiritual, subconscious level. This book is very helpful in getting to the root cause, and understanding why the “animal you” WANTS you to be fat. He explains CLEARLY, why diets work for a short time, but why they set you up for [repeated] failures. Nothing short of eye-opening.
5 Stars A Unique Appraoch to Weight Management
Before you purchase this book, I suggest that you do a Google search for “Jon Gabriel” and watch some of the interviews with the author. It will give you a nice measure of the man. I, for one, was quite impressed with him. His concept is a 180 degree departure from the usual approach to weight management, since it does not prescribe dieting (ugh!), exercise (ugh!), calorie-counting (ugh!) or any form of self-denial. Instead, he believes that being overweight is primarily a result of the body thinking that it starving or may be in danger of starving–he explains why–which stimulates you to eat more and more. He shows you how to change this internal belief and provides some specific nutritional advice backed up with detailed scientific references. What I like especially is that he is not trying to sell you a course or special products. He even offers a free audio download to help you reprogram your mind, a hypnotic technique though he does not dwell on that fact. Anyone interested in weight management will find this book quite fascinating!
