5 Stars Count on “The Calorie King” – You Will Never Wonder What You Eat
When I got serious about getting fit and staying fit, what I ate surely was to play a great part in all of this. Even though in some states there are laws which require fast-food places to display the nutritional contents of the food that they serve, you can be sure that it is not prominently display, and the fast-food places know that if you were able to make it in there, it is not likely that you will change your mind and turn again.
As they say forewarned is forearmed, and The Calorie King is very inclusive and breaks down for you the fat and calorie content of ALL of the major fast-food chains and their most popular super-sizing meals. This little book is small, compact and just loaded with full color photos and illustrations of the foods that you should know about if you are taking care of what to eat. This is a must read little book for anyone serious about diet, health and fitness. Get it.

I’ve been using a large paperback nutrition book when our Type 1 granddaughter is with us. It had waay too many listings of commercial products. At the Diabetic Youth Foundation camp a nutritionist recommended this book. It is small enough to take in my purse and has color print on all pages. It is categorized by food type rather than alphabetically, so while this takes getting used to, it helps by showing alternative foods if it doesn’t have the specific one you are looking for.
