5 Stars You will never need another “diet” book!
I have tried everything: WW, Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, Atkins, Biggest Loser, etc. I own every diet book out there. I even tried the oil or sugar in the water diet. I usually couldn’t even make it through one meal on a diet nevermind a day.

Finally I realized I just didn’t want to lose weight.

Well of course I wanted to lose weight I just didn’t know how to convince my head.

My mind set wasn’t there. So I set out to find out how to get there.

I was watching The Joy Fit Club one morning which profiles people who lost 100 or more pounds & saw Joy Bauer. It was so inspirational to see so many women who lost 100+ lbs. I thought if they can do it so can I. I found Joy’s book 90/10 & have been using it with The Beck Weight Loss Workbook which helps you change your behaviors for long-term results.

I love this diet. It is so satisfying! In the past anytime I ate “bad” or cheated, etc I would just throw in the towel. That day was gone so I could eat whatever I wanted & started another day..another Monday & it was a viscious cycle that made me start to hate who I now was.

You are never hungry. You can pick from a 1600, a 1400 or a 1200 calorie plan.

It really helps that you are allowed a fun food each day around 250 calories which can be ice cream, 4 milano cookies, etc. in the past when I had something like that the diet was over for me. Knowing that I can have that each day makes it so I never need to “cheat”

In the first week I lost 4 1/2 lbs & the results have been steady since. I am well on my way.

And for those who said it was confusing it makes me wonder if we read the same book. I can’t even hook my dvd player to my tv & had no problems with this diet.

I was 1 week away from my surgical lap band surgery consult & this was the answer to my prayers.

If I can do it trust me YOU can do it!

2 Stars Not very helpful and kind of confusing
It could be just me but I found this book very confusing to follow and not very interesting…I didn’t feel motivated at all…It may have not worked for me, but that does not mean it will not work for any one else…good luck

1 Star Buy Dr. Weil’s Book instead
I really like Joy Bauer. She is personable and tolls out sensible and realistic advice on the Today Show, however her book is very dissapointing. The menus provided are dull and without imagination. The “fun” foods as she calls them (the 10% part of her diet) are simply the saved calories from a spartan menu. Spend your money on Dr. Weil’s first book(s). You’ll actually enjoy the menus and learn about how to change your lifestyle to be healthier.

The book is a lot of common sense, with a daily dose of a treat to not make you feel like you’re on a diet. If you already know sensible eating patterns then you don’t need this. If you need a reminder everyone once and while on what we are supposed to eat, and not what we think we can eat, then your health is probably worth the money you’ll spend on this book

1 Star 90/10 Weight loss plan
was very disappointed by this, the part of the book that is needed to start and do this diet was not in the book, completely torn out…not there, not available…not happy!!! Pages 109-138 and pages 203-234 gone out of book. So don`t know about the balance of healthy foods and fun foods…not in there…the 1200 calorie plan…nope not in there either.
