If you haven't been living under a rock (or a complete fixation on coffee) you may have heard that tea is one of the best anti-oxidants you can drink. Green tea and black tea both receive high marks in the anti-o category, but I was surprised to learn this fun fact - milk can actually lesson the anti-oxidant properties of a tea. I mean, what? The reason is that milk has a protein called casein, and this sneaky little protein may be able to block the healthy factor of the tea. So, if you are drinking cup upon cup of tea with milk, thinking you're being all European and healthy - squeeze a lemon instead. After all, when life gives you lemons, you should make... tea.
