I drink 3 to 4 cups of coffee per day. A large starbukcs around 8am. A refill around 10am. Sometimes a coke with lunch and then I usually get my afternoon cup of coffee around 3pm. That one is usually a medium from Starbucks.
Today is the day I will try to make the change. I will still drink coffee at 8am everyday. Can't imagine starting my day without it. But for the rest of the day I switch to decaf. I used to laugh at people who drank decaf. I always compared it to non-alcholic beer.
Since I am creature of habit, I think the switch to decaf will treat me well. It is more of the habit of drinking a warm beverage or taking a walk to starbucks every afternoon.

That's great to hear. I did the same thing with soda. I know it's not the same thing but I wanted to cut caffeine out of my life. I've essentially quit soda all together except for a few times now and then. Life is a lot better.
I love coffee... the smell, the taste, sitting in a coffee shop talking... I love the whole experience. About a year ago, I went on a 4 day drive along the coast camping trip (left on Thursday night), and had my usual 6 cups of coffee that day. By Sunday afternoon, I started to crash. I didn't get a little tired, but exhausted and it hurt to keep my eyes open. We pulled off the road and I took a nap. I still felt the same when I woke up, so my mission was to grab a large cup of coffee at the bottom of the hill. Half way through the coffee, I felt revived and much better. Once I got back from the trip, I made a commitment never to drink that much coffee again. I went from 6 cups of coffee a day to 1 - 2 cups a week and still going strong!
