1. Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat. Butter will froththen turn a nutty brown color. Watch your butterand stir frequently until browned – it will go from brown to burnt in about 5 seconds!
2. Take butter off the heatadd marshmallows and saltthen stir until smooth.
3. Stir in crispy rice cereal and mix until combined. Pour and press firmly in a non-stick sprayed 8×8 glass pan.
4. Allow to cool (if you can wait that long!) and cut.
These will literally blow.your.mind. I first had them when I was in New York last month and the photographers assistant brought them in to share. We bonded over a mutual adoration for Smitten Kitchen and I havn’t been able to stop thinking about them since! I guarantee you will never make your standard rice krispie treat after trying these – they are the KING of Krispies!!
