Super Bowl Sunday 7-Layer Dip + Chuao Chocolatier

Good Morning and Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

Yes, it is true that I am not the biggest football fan but I did look up who was playing today- The 49'ers versus the Ravens and I do know that they are playing in New Orleans!  Yay.

So this is cause for celebration, thus I whipped up a batch up Super Bowl Sunday 7-Layer Dip.  This is one of those recipes that I equate with Super Bowl Sunday and look forward to indulging in every year.  I am not a huge "chip lover" but do love eating 7-Layer Dip with Late July Multigrain Snack Chips.  So darn good.

Layer the bean mixture on the bottom of your serving dish. Then layer the guacamole, yogurt, tomatoes, cheese, black olives and green onions.
This year I picked up Wholly Chipolte Bean Dip from the Better Bean Company.  The Better Bean Co. is a local company that is producing all sorts of interesting bean combinations- Rethought Red Beans, Cuban Black Beans, Uncanny Refried Black Beans and Three Sisters Chili.  I  have tried them all and LOVE them especially when I am in a time crunch for making dinner.  I serve Cuban Black Beans over Brown Rice.  Add a little avocado and you have got yourself a good meal!

Wholly Chipotle! This is no ordinary dip! No sir. It’s skillet-sautéed and finished with a hint of lime. Delicious as a hot or cold dip. Add to tacos, nachos, or eggs. Serve cold for dips or sauté until a bit crispy for other recipes.

Beans 101 – Health and HistoryBeans are one of nature’s ultimate power foods. They are high in protein, anti-oxidents, fiber, minerals and folate.Beans are a heart healthy alternative source of protein to cheese or beef.
To obtain 14 grams of protein (1/4 DV) you must eat2 ounces of cheddar cheese which has 18 grams of fat (4 teaspoons), or
2 ounces of broiled lean ground beef which has 10 grams of fat. Or
You could eat one cup of beans which are almost fat free.

Anyhow, I am looking forward to indulging in this dip and chip combo later this afternoon.  Speaking of indulging, I am head over heels in LOVE with Chuao Chocolate!  I have been indulging in 1 oz of Dark Chocolate daily which has helped me tame my sweet tooth.  A little chocolate goes a long way and I have to say Chuao Chocolatier has some of the best!

My two favorite chocolate bars are
