Ok, so I got a teeny bit burned at the pool yesterday. I don't think my sunblock was working as well as I thought it was! It was from last year, maybe that's the reason??
Anyway...
Lunch yesterday was delicious leftovers from a Greek restaurant. I think I mentioned it, but a co-worker brought some in and I was lucky enough to take home the leftovers! Thanks again Anita!! :)
I had a piece of Spanikopita and a half pita with Greek salad and taziki sauce. After I ate some more of the Greek salad. Yum, Greek food is awesome! Have I mentioned that before?? Not picture is the Iced Tea that my wonderful Rob brought me. I also had an Adora calcium supplement with lunch.
A couple friends of ours called us yesterday for a barbecue at their house. Between the pool and the bbq it was the perfect summer afternoon. Their neighbors were even playing live music. It was great. I just wish we had more time to do it again this summer!
I had a sausage and pepper sandwich, some pasta salad, a small piece of chicken and some grilled veggies(zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms and asparagus). Oh yea, and like 5 bakery cookies :)
This morning I had mashed banana and PB for breakfast. Rob and I woke up kind of late (love the weekend!) and we were headed to a street fair in a neighboring town and knew that we would probably eat something there, so I didn't want to have a big oatmeal breakfast.
Once we got to the fair, the clouds starting coming in and it got dark quick. Rob and I made a quick trip around the fair and decided to call it a day. Rob got a piece of pizza fritta (fancy fried dough w/ powdered sugar) and I had a couple bites. Yum :)
The banana and pb (and bites of fritta) seemed to hold me pretty well, so I didn't have an "official" lunch. I snacked on some hummus and crackers and had a few bites of Rob's baked chopped suey leftovers. I had a whole dinner planned out this evening and when we got home, the meat wasn't defrosted and I was feeling so low energy that I didn't feel like trying to defrost it. I decided to make an old Sunday favorite, frozen pizza! There is nothing that is healthy about this pizza. Its Red Barron Supreme Thin Crust . Rob and I love eating this on Sundays together. No reason, its just fun and tastes really good! :)
Here's a picture of a flower that a parent at school gave me on Friday. I put it in some water that afternoon and by this morning it was all the way bloomed and HUGE! Its so pretty sitting on out coffee table. I just wish it would last.
And going with the theme of today-not following any kind of healthy rules-I'm having some good old fashioned chocolate ice cream :)
