Study Session Rx: Healthy Snacks

Most often when I have a big exam, this kind of happens to me…

No, that’s not actually me in the picture, but you get the gist of what I mean.  I eat a lot of junk when I study. Don’t we all? Well, it’s no wonder that we do because our brains love glucose and carbohydrates are good for learning and memory . But I’m sick of the putting myself through the studying and junk food binge cycle, so this weekend I decided to plan ahead. To combat my usual munchies, I used recipes from Fat Free Vegan Kitchen for Baba Ganoush and Hummus . (Don’t be confused by the named of the site, these aren’t exactly fat free munchies, but the fat they have is healthy fat .) I had fresh veggies to dip in the hummus and devoured the baba ghanoush on fresh sliced tomatoes.
