So with all this pregnancy talk, I feel like I should come clean about dessert. I haven’t been able to eat much sweets because I don’t especially want them AND too much sweetness hurts my stomach. BUT I did find something that I can eat…and I’ve made these treats once a week for the past 3 weeks. Everytime I kind of change them around and the ones I made yesterday are worth the post.
These are the original chocolate balls, which are still amazing, but I’m trying to make them a bit healthier since I’m eating them basically daily.
Grind oats in food processor to a flour like consistency. Add in remaining ingredients, except maple syrup and chocolate chips. Process to combine well. Add in maple syrup and pulse to combine. Lastly, add in chocolate chips and mix. Scoop into balls and freeze!
I did not take the time to make these pretty looking at all. I’m mainly more concerned with getting them into the freezer so I can eat them…besides what I’ve already scooped from the bowl and eaten.
What is your favorite dessert right now?
I didn’t run yesterday. I was listening to my body and decided to go for a walk with Danny got home. I also took some time and did some much needed stretching. I needed a break, so I’ll be going for a run today instead! Part of this whole pregnancy thing, I’m learning, is to really honor my body and what it needs. It’s a tough lesson to learn, but some days are meant for majorly relaxing. (Can I really complain that much about that? )
