5 Stars The best collection of recipes I’ve found…
I was at a cookbook fair in southern Alabama a few weeks back, this cookbook caught my attention because the Lemon Gingersnap recipe was a winner in the recipe contest which the recipe had to use an Alabama Product-I went to check the cookbook out and could not believe the wonderful recipes I found as I browsed through the book. The Lemon Gingersnaps were available for tasting and they are some of the most unique and delicious cookies I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. I purchased a copy for myself – but now only after a week of using this book full of family favorite recipes, I am purchasing additional copies for Christmas gifts for my sister and friends who love to cook. I am a huge fan of charity cookbooks and these recipes are all from cookbooks all over. I can’t wait to try a few recipes tonight. LOVE this cookbook!
3 Stars Pass
I have purchase many other reciped books that are much better. I would pass on this one.
5 Stars Recipes Worth Sharing
Recipes Worth Sharing is a beautifully designed and written cookbook, with recipes that I will enjoy for years to come.
5 Stars DELICIOUS but Simple
I love this recipe book. I actually already had many of the recipes, which means I already loved the recipes or they would not have been in my collection! I bought 3 more for gifts. If you are a gourmet cook, use to long and complicated recipes, then this book is not for you. The recipes are simple but DELICIOUS and they can be used for school/church/family functions. I give it a 5 stars for delicious and simple!!
5 Stars I Keep Going Back to This One….
I’m constantly looking for quick and easy recipes which include fresh ingredients and every once in awhile an unusual flavor combination…and this one definately meets that need! From a traditional SUNDAY FAVORITE ROAST (which can be done in the oven or crockpot) to a BEER AND NUT GREEK BURGER (such a fabulous flavor) and my new favorite pasta dish TURKEY LASGNA WITH GOAT CHEESE & BASIL (absolutely awesome!) I keep coming back to this great collection of Mama’s Best with a twist every once in a while. My 17-year-old daughter is using it just as much as me and together we are experiencing the “true joy of cooking” recipes that make sense, have everyday ingredients, with enough of a challenge to keep it intersting for the seasoned cook. This one is a true treasure trove!
