GUEST POST BY: Kojimitsu! Hello loyal readers,
My name is Kojimitsu and I am the founder of the
Kojimitsu Reading Room. The Reading Room started in 2007 as I combined by expertise in organization, monitoring, and regulating, with tanookie's ever growing collection of books. There are days when the Reading Room is quite crowded with learned bears coming to do research on a variety of topics from how to prevent forest fires to how to use honey 212 ways! Unfortunately, tanookie is the caretaker of an overweight beast who insists on drooling and taking 12 hour long naps in the Reading Room. I have tried to facilitate Pudge's reading comprehension but that silly dog falls asleep in the middle of my recitation. Today, however, I found out that he may have an activist side to him as I caught him with is paw on top of Eldridge Cleaver's
Soul on Ice.

I do not support Cleaver due to his trouble with the law, yet tanookie loves to study about the Civil Rights Movement and so I made an exception and included this book in the Reading Room's current display.
Please scroll down to meet the newest member of the Reading Room, Bear! Bear is wearing a matching jumpsuit and cap sewn by his caretaker's mother. Bear has lived with Mike Lee AKA the little scientist, for over a decade. Bear was in the dorms with us at Porter College and was often seen parading around in his ghost costume!

Bear introduces himself to my associate who tanookie and Pudge find to be standoffish and aloof.

Bear is interested in Early American History and checks out a few books from the pre-Civil War period.

Eventually, Bear decides that since he is in San Francisco, he should probably read up on Asian American and Gay and Lesbian Studies.

Meanwhile, I present Pudge with a copy of Hazel Carby's
Race Men. Carby is a well-known African American scholar who teaches at Yale. A much better role model for Pudge, in my humble opinion.

Due to Pudge's disinterest, I put on my glasses to read the book to the Reading Room's guests.

Eventually, they tire of the theory and we go on do do some reasearh on Asian American women and why they are so ANGRY!
Good night everyone. Get to bed early and remember to minimize your mischief.
Sincerely,
Kojimitsu
