M week is finally here with our Maple Almond Crush Smoothie! Add a little fruit and whole wheat toast to this smoothie for a complete breakfast and to keep the kid full till lunch. Here is our recipe:
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1 cup crushed ice
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. maple extract
Optional (1-4 TBL of water, depending on how thin you like your smoothies.
I really love extracts and we have many. You can find butter flavoring, vanilla, maple, almond, lemon, strawberry, banana, coconut, anise, orange, peppermint, and even chocolate! It’s a great way to flavor up foods without adding calories, fat, or sugar.
