Hi Diana, To introduce myself, I am TLC's Director of Operations and wanted to clarify that we are in no way related to TDL.
The Lite Choice offers a selection of all-natural and organic soft serve that are low fat, lower calorie, low cholesterol, and low carb. We do not add any corn syrup, preservatives, or additives to our product. Our product, as well as some of our stores, are certified Kosher. Prior to September 2008, some TLC stores were, in fact, TDL's. When Tasti-D-Lite became a franchise, TLC president and CEO Ron Greenstein and his partner Ed Newmark decided to create their own brand of soft-serve and organic flavors, null it “TLC, The Lite Choice.” A four-ounce serving ranges from 80 to 120 calories, depending on the flavor. This was followed by some Tasti D-Lite store owners converting to TLC.
The Lite Choice has grown swiftly that since we opened our first location in September of last year. We now have over 30 locations, including our first international location opening this month in Quebec, Canada.
