Quest Protein Bars: What’s So Great About Them & Why They’re Better Than Other Bars
Posted Apr 23 2013 3:05pm
Quest Protein Bars sent me samples, and I wanted to break the review of them into two parts. First, I’ll talk about the nutrition aspect of the bars (ingredients, etc.), and later I’ll review the different flavors.
Quest sent me the bars for free but the opinions are all my own!
As a FitFluential Ambassador, I can apply for campaigns and reviews that I’m interested—so basically, if I’m reviewing something here it’s because I believe in the quality of the product and I wanted to try it out!
After I made this video, I tried the brownie version of the Quest bar. I heated it up in the microwave (I don’t usually own a microwave, but it’s built in–I think this was the first time I’ve used it!). That thing tasted like a real brownie! Seriously.
Anyway, so far… I like these, and I like the nutritional profile. Obviously, I think it’s best to make your own food and not buy things that come in wrappers, but realistically I know that people want to have easy and relatively healthy snacks that don’t require any preparation.
News/Notes: I spent the weekend at my Aunt and Uncle’s house in Fallbrook… and it just happened to also be the weekend of the Fallbrook avocado festival! My uncle and I walked into town Sunday morning to buy avocados… and I certainly made out like a bandit (and I may or may not have 30 avocados sitting on my counter now!). Stay tuned because I am going to post an avocado giveaway (sponsored by So Cal Avocados) later this week! The winner will get 8 avocados delivered to his/her door… It’s my favorite giveaway of all time
I’m working hard on recording my sessions for the Nutrition and Yoga for Pregnancy course that Pilar and I are finishing up. Launch day is Monday!
