Protein, Carbohydrates, Fats, and Fiber?!?

I've been doing detailed research on the daily intake of  Protein, Carbohydrates, Fats, and Fiber for my personal weight and age and activity.

 There are some variations out there from various "experts" but even taking that into account and making some careful judgements about the trustworthiness of various sources, I still question the reigning "wisdom"...

 When I calculate what's "necessary" for me, I end up with a stupendous amount of food--more per day then I've ever eaten.

 I've found some indications that Protein and Carbohydrates, especially, receive larger requirements than may be necessary...

Where is some wise, non-corporately-biased, sound information on all this?
