While there was lots of delicious, whole, clean foods involved in my weekend

One of the highlights of my weekend actually revolved around food that I could NOT eat!

Friday night – Heather invited me over to hang out with her and her family while they had an Apple Pie Throw Down (full on Bobby Flay style!)

Heather vs. her Mom – now that’s what I call a competition!

Pie A:

11.5 053 11.5 056

Pie B:

11.5 057 11.5 058

They really had one SERIOUS set up!

One certain judge ( Heather’s adorable son) was EXTREMELY anxious to get the tasting under way!

The canines also offered up their taste testing skills, but Heather & her Mom chose to stick to human judges!

11.5 066 11.5 067

Heather and her Mom left it up to the men in the family instead!

The guys took copious notes, and made sure to fill out their tasting cards completely!  Heather’s son even went as far as to add in a category!

The winner?  Well – you’ll just have to read Heather’s blog to find out, but I had so much fun, and I loved the idea – I just had to share it with you.

If you organized your own throw down – WHO would you want to go up against, and WHAT DISH would you want to cook?
