A lot of peanut butter is consumed in our house, which means we end up an empty jar every other week or so. Of course, an empty nut butter jar is perfect for Oats In A Jar , but then what do I do with it?
I recycle it by storing grains, nuts, seeds, dry beans, and lentils inside. (I run the jar through the dishwasher first.)
These jars are great for easy access since I can clearly see what’s inside and the lid provides a tight seal to keep the contents fresh. (To test the seal, screw the lid on an empty jar, and then hold it under water; see if any bubbles escape around the rim of the lid.)
