Woah, right? We raised a lot of money, which will go directly to Team in Training in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. You guys are amazing. Thank you, everyone!

I will organize all of the information and contact all of the highest bidders this afternoon, so keep a look out for an email from me! Bakers: I will email you the winner’s mailing address as soon as they make their donation to our Team In Training page .

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making the Blog Bake Sale a success! We raised a TON of money for a worthy cause, and I’m so thankful for such wonderful readers. Mal and I really appreciate your support.

A lot of peanut butter is consumed in our house, which means we end up an empty jar every other week or so. Of course, an empty nut butter jar is perfect for Oats In A Jar , but then what do I do with it?

I recycle it by storing grains, nuts, seeds, dry beans, and lentils inside. (I run the jar through the dishwasher first.)

These jars are great for easy access since I can clearly see what’s inside and the lid provides a tight seal to keep the contents fresh. (To test the seal, screw the lid on an empty jar, and then hold it under water; see if any bubbles escape around the rim of the lid.)

Empty glass (peanut butter) jars = inexpensive storage.

Speaking of peanut butter jars…

I enjoyed OIAJ for breakfast this morning. In the mix: old-fashioned oats, banana, raisins, walnuts, chia seeds , and vanilla soy milk. Always delicious.

I also drank some yummy cinnamon iced coffee with breakfast. The flavor was very fall-like! :-D

What are your favorite ways to recycle everyday items?

Please share! I love these kinds of ideas!
