Non-Hike Hiking

Posted Sep 12 2010 2:18pm

DSC_0463 Hiking with kids can sometimes be tough. Little legs get tired quickly and complaining sets in.  However, if your “hike” is filled with exploring and climbing, you are sure to cover ground while not even having them realize it you’re moving.

We visited Provo River Falls , East of Kamas to see the waterfalls and rocks.  TJ was wearing my GPS Running watch.  We climbed around on the rocks up and down the river, stopped and ate sandwiches, dipped our feet in the water, etc.  We ended up walking more than a mile, and nobody even noticed.  There was so much exploring going on, it never once seemed like we were going anywhere.
