I had featured some of Nicole Kidman’s favourite dishes not long ago on the site because when you look at the slender 40-something it’s hard to believe that she enjoys food that much.
Just like it’s easy to believe that someone as slim as Nicole Kidman would enjoy eating … it’s also easy to think that she doesn’t exercise.
It turns out that Nicole Kidman’s fitness secret is running! Not only is this her fitness secret, but it’s also a family thing.
Nicole Kidman learned how to keep fit by running from her father. Nicole Kidman’s dad who is 71 years old is a marathon runner who still does 16 km runs (that’s 10-miles) on a regular base.
I love the fact that Nicole Kidman’s dad has not given up on fitness. This is so aligned with a post I featured on the site last month.
If you’ve not read my review of the new book 50 athletes of over 50, you really should because it’s one of the most inspirational books I’ve read in the past few months.
Nicole kept her running routine even while pregnant with her daughter Sunday Rose.
Now I should add that in Nicole’s case, she’s able to age well in her 40s because she’s using her genetics (which means she’s naturally thin) with her love of running to stay thin.
This is important to mention because there is such a thing as skinny-fat. Those are many women who appear to be thin, but since they don’t exercise and eat poorly, their health is often no better than that of women who are obese.
