New study: High fiber cereals do reduce risk of heart attack

Posted Jun 04 07 2:16am by Nancy B.

A new study apparently supports marketing by cereal companies which tout their whole grain products as heart-healthy. Focusing on the eating habits of doctors, an analysis of nearly 10,500 doctors found that doctors who ate whole-grain breakfast cereal seven or more times a week were 28 percent less likely to develop heart failure between 1982 to 2006, according to an article in eMaxHealth. http://www.emaxhealth.com/15/10052.html
